Cowboy Beans

"My husband makes this in the crock pot and cooks all day long. We usually serve it a parties. It's delicious. The last time he put hot dogs and sausage in it and it didn't turn out very good. So we'll be keeping to the original recipe! We like to use Scoops tortilla chips and eat it as a dip as well. We've substituted ground beef for ground deer meat."

  1. My husband loves these too! We have a similar recipe we make often with bacon and a different selection of beans, and this will be a great alternate. We cooked the onions with the beef before putting everything in the crock pot for an hour and a half on high; otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Made for Pick-A-Chef March 09.
